The Selection

I need this book
Like air in my lungs
Like days with ever-sen
Like bees need honey

Until I have this book in my grasp
When I can breathe again

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in the palace and compete for the heart of the gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself- and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

A Question

For my summer reading for school I need some help.....I have two choices of books:
1. The Book Thief-Mark Zusak http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/19063.The_Book_Thief
about 550 pages, appox 2-4 days to read depending on if I like it or not
2.The Count of Monte Cristo-Dumas, translated by Lowell Blair http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7126.The_Count_of_Monte_Cristo
about 1243 pages, approx I really don't know how many, never read a book this long before

I have no idea which to choose because '2' sounds more interesting but will take longer..........

Deadly Cool

Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday Book #1

First love is a Killer

"As much as I wouldn't mind watching him squirm, I know that he's innocent. So I'm brushing off my previously untapped detective skills and getting down to business. But I keep tripping over dead bodies and I'm still no closer to finding out who did it. And what's worse" all signs seem to point to me as the killer's next victim.

I really need to pick a better boyfriend next time"

Okay, her boyfriend really pissed me off. He all freakin slept with another girl but says hey I only did it with her cuz you wanted to be a virgin but its fine! You don't have to apologize! I still love you and wanna be with you cuz well I am your boyfriend!
O.o
Oh.My.Gosh. Is he really that stupid. But I love Hartly!! (the girlfriend) She's too nice for her own good, but is super determined to prove her boyfriend....oh EX-boyfriends innocence and is not afraid to get stuck in a burning building and get her eyebrows seared off because of it. Or trip over dead people...... yeah...umm..not my thing.
But if you like mystery and romance this is oh so totally your book. Seriously, read it!!!!

>Drum Roll< I award this book 4/5 stars!!!

Jane- A modern run on a classic

Jane is a modern twist on the classic tale of 'Jane Eyre'. I love how the author doesn't try to hide what shes trying to accomplish. SO- when Jane lost both of her parents in a car crash-they leave her nothing. BUT (hooray) she knows how to be a nanny!! So since she has no idea what actually goes on in the world- the nanny association decides that she would be a perfect nanny for a super amazing, super hot, and OLDER ( like 10 years) rock stars daughter. OH by the way, Jane, shes not even 20 yet. Hmmmmm. And if you wanna know more you're gonna have to read the book!!!

Jane: April Lindner
