 My Splurge..

Huh. Well....I'm speechless, and not in a good way. The grammar in this book was pretty freakin horrible. I just-I-uhhh.....I'm sorta in shock???? Also there were some really strange sentence structures....

"What in the hell are you doing here?"

This just feels weird to me...first of all it's --What the hell..(blah blah blah) not what in the hell....
Also the relationship never built. It was boom 'I love you.'  boom 'I am a super snotty rich kid...what?! No! I would never try to hurt you!' boom' *shocked look here* 'I LOVED you!!!'

I mean jeez dude. Shut up. No one cares. uh- buh bye. And btw.. when a guy acts like an idiot to you you do not invite him in your house at 3AM, you leave him in the snow to think about his decisions. And you most CERTAINLY DO NOT let him sleep on you're floor and make out with him and almost go to third base. Uh. No. Nuh-uh. Nope. What do you think you are doing?!?!

If you think you don't know someone....just a thought.....you probably don't. Don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise.

Also you do not stand up to the school renowned bully...you get a teacher. Child, you almost got your face bashed in. And, really , having a a seance in a haunted orphanage??? After you got your head bashed on and are bleeding all over???? -_- You have got to be kidding me.....

But the concept was really good when the character were acting reasonable (which wasn't that often) and was an over all good idea and (I can't believe I'm typing this) I will probably read the next book.

Uncertainty (Gravity, #2)      Luminosity (Gravity, #3) Velocity (Gravity, #4)

I would recommend these books if you enjoyed the previous

Insight (Insight #1) Insight by Jamie Magee   "What if you were the only one who could save the ones you love the most?"

Sleepers (The Swarm Trilogy, #1) Sleepers by Megg Jenson  "Sometimes the choice between good and evil is the same as the choice between the one you love and the one you desire."

One choice can transform you
In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue--Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is--she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles alongside her fellow initiates to live out the choice they have made. Together they must undergo extreme physical tests of endurance and intense psychological simulations, some with devastating consequences. As initiation transforms them all, Tris must determine who her friends really are--and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes exasperating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers unrest and growing conflict that threaten to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.

One choice .....decides your friends
One choice.....defines your belifs
One choice.....determines your loyalties, forever
One choice can transform you
My Rating: 3.5 Stars
Okay everybody, before you get your pitchforks and hunt me down listen to my reasons.
I love the dystopian kind of theme and this was just spot on with the images I kind of think of when I think 'dystopian.' The book was amazingly written and everything was in perfect sequence, but I just couldn't get into it. The author is extremely talented and is good at the visuals, but I think she needs to work on conjuring emotions a bit more.
When people die in book that I really like I usually have a bit of waterworks going, but in this book there was none. Nada. Zip. Zero.
I think Four (Tobias) is the freaking best person ever. Oh. And by the way, I so called it in like chapter 6.
Dude. Their relationship isn't perfect and I LOVED IT!!!
"I might be in love with you," He says smiling a little, "but I'm waiting until I'm sure to tell you."
Best. Line. Ever. (Seriously. Love it.)
But the thing was, Four was a super cold brained jerk in the beginning. And, I don't know, sarcasm. I just love it guys. Love it.
"I thought I would only have trouble with the Candor asking questions," he says coldly, "Now I've got Stiffs too?"
"It must be because you're so approachable." I say flatly. "You know. Like a bed of nails."
So yeah. three and a half stars.

This book is perfect. I have read this one, like, a billion times. Rating:4 *
Delirium by Lauren Oliver: Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.
Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)
Rating 4 *

Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war– and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

My Rating: 4 Stars

My Splurge........

Okay. I totally fell in love with this book. The whole love thing was kinda confusing though. First I was like all like him#1, then him#3 then #4 #5 #4. Yeah screw #2 (He's the prince she's betrothed to and he abuses her AND he tried to rape her.....so yeah, hate him) So yeah, Confusing.

I ended up loving Matthew. He was like a lost soul......that was found only to be revealed by love..so yeah. Kinda perfect. But then the clan's President wants her to date multiple guys at a time. Sounds a little sketchy to me, but yuh know. Whatever.

And then her best friend has like totally changed and I seriously want to know what the hell is up with him and his Jekyll and Hyde personality disorder. Seriously.

OH!!! And then the guy who stalked her window is dating her now along with his brother. Oh my. I can practically feel the testosterone seeping through my Kindle. Jeeeezummm.

So to sum it up without giving toooo much away: She is a princess/queen who likes to gather pearls from oysters. Everybody falls in love with her. The Queen 'mom' and her betrothed abuse her and every guy in the clans feel strangely protective of her in a very un-brotherly like fashion.  And she is now dating 3 guys...at once.

So yeah I can seriously not wait to read the next :D

Okay guys so today is the last day of epicreads Banned Book Week

Red Epic Reads Badge

Here's what it is:

BANNED VS. CHALLENGED
Challenged Books: Books that people are trying to remove or restrict from schools, libraries, ect.
Banned Books: If a group of people challenge a book and they win, then the book is banned and removed from public spaces like schools, libraries, ect.

WHY DOES A BOOK GET CHALLENGED?
The books that are challenged usually fall into three offending categories:
1. The book is considered to be too sexualy explicit
2. The book has offensive language
3. The book is unsuited for the age group

WHY IS THIS BAD?
Ummm.....restricting what kids and teens can read? Yeah, we'd say that's a problem.
